Ferrari Corse F1 Clienti

This month we were lucky enough to tag along with tempusmagazine.co.uk to the famous Ferrari factory in Maranello, Italy. The trip was for the launch of the California Dreaming Exhibition at the Ferrari Museum, but while we were there we got to see the inner workings of the legend that is Ferrari.

This is the Ferrari Corse F1 Clienti department in Maranello where if you have a spare couple of million euros you can buy your very own ex-formula 1 car. Prices start at €1.5 million and can go as high as €2.5 million per car depending on the heritage of the model such as drivers and race wins.

The cars stay with Ferrari and is then shipped with around five ferrari technicians to wherever you decide you would like to race it that weekend. The engine lasts around 1,500km (about a years worth of racing for the most enthusiastic owners) and costs €100,000 for a rebuild that can take up to 200 hours.

The Corse Clienti unit reminds us of McLarens Unit 2, except these are raced and enjoyed by what could possibly the luckiest men alive.
